Bears LB Tinoisamoa officially out for season with knee injury

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears placed linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa on injured reserve because of ligament damage on his right knee, formally ending his season.

The Bears made the move Wednesday, one day after signing linebacker Cato June to a one-year contract.

Tinoisamoa tore the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the season opener at Green Bay. He was inactive for the next three games, but he started against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 18 before being carted off the field during that game.
