Shameka Leach
Shameka Leach was named the Bears Fan of the Year during the October 22 home game against the Oakland Raiders at Soldier Field. Shameka originally believed she was invited to the game by the Bears to act as an honorary referee during the halftime mascot football game. At the end of the scrimmage, Staley Da Bear and his mascot friends gathered around Shameka presenting her with two large Super Bowl tickets while the stadium announcer officially declared Shameka has the Bears 2023 nominee for Fan of the Year. Shameka's positive energy has made a significant impact on her local football community through organizing football camps and financial seminars for less privileged players from Robbins, IL and volunteering with the Pro Football Retired Players Association in Chicago, IL. Over the past few years, Shameka has actively supported and volunteered at Bears Huddle events, attended Training Camp and has been a regular participant in Bears watch parties, where she passionately cheers on the team.
