| We knew QB Pat White could run, but he showed he could pass, too. |
What we learned ...
QB Todd Bouman may have found a home: Bouman has been a typical journeyman backup in recent years, having played for six teams since 2002. This year marks his second stop in Jacksonville, but he should be able to stick around if he can move the chains like he did in the second quarter when he led the Jaguars on eight- and nine-play scoring drives. Bouman finished 10-of-18 for 130 yards.
Cameron Wake can rush the passer: The former CFL linebacker had 39 sacks in two season in British Columbia, and showed he'll have no problem getting to the quarterback in the NFL. In one play in the second quarter, he burned past the opposing OT, shook off a blatant facemask penalty, and pressured Bouman into a bad throw. Wake still has to prove he can effectively drop back into coverage, but if he does, he'll become a complete linebacker for the Dolphins.
QB Pat White has an arm: Everybody thought about the "Wildcat" when the Dolphins took White in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. But White showed that he could throw the ball, too. White displayed great decision making, in not taking any unnecessary chances. And his one interception was on a deflection.
