Tyler Chambless

Since 2017, Tyler Chambless has served as the Program Manager for The Salvation Army North Texas Family Life Center and Gene and Jerry Jones Family North Texas Youth Education Town. In this role, Tyler is responsible for creating and implementing programming for the youth and clients of the center. The Family Life Center is one of the few homeless shelters in the area where families can live together as they strive to get back on their feet. Tyler works to provide shelter residents access to job skills training, parenting classes, financial literacy, and more.

Tyler oversees programs at the Youth Education Town (YET), a legacy project from Super Bowl XLV and the sole remaining operating YET center. These programs connect students and families through education, spirituality, health and wellness, offering afterschool programs, summer day camps, homework assistance, as well as music, dance, and art activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and is a licensed teacher with The State of Texas. With a passionate commitment to youth empowerment, Tyler ensures program excellence while holding true to The Salvation Army's mission. He shapes educational curricula, plans logistics, secures grants, and manages transitions from program to program. His relentless focus on inspiring and guiding the next generation remains unwavering.

Under his leadership, The Salvation Army YET remained a place of stability for the community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Kids continued to attend YET programming virtually and were able to access homework assistance, educational materials, spiritual counseling, and healthy meals. Coming out of the pandemic, Tyler developed new strategies to recruit youth and regrow in-person attendance, rebuilding the program by 300%. Thanks to his work, the YET hallways are filled with laughter and smiles, with youth achieving 100% pass rate on state achievement tests that allow students to rise to their next grade level. Tyler is a true Changemaker in the North Texas area, and the Dallas Cowboys are proud to have him on our community impact team, making a difference for those in need.
