Dr. Casey Volkolek
Dr. Casey Volkolek has exemplified the Education Pillar of the Inspire Changemaker Award. Through Dr. Volkolek continuous service to students and parents since 2006, he has made impact on thousands of families. His teaching and coaching efforts throughout these years have supported youth education and mentorship through in and after school programming.Â
Recently, Dr. Vokolek, has been extremely instrumental in supporting Chiefs Flag football throughout the youth and high school levels. He is a current youth coach for a YMCA Chiefs Flag team, a team that was honored as the Chiefs Youth Tradition guests in the 2021 NFL Season. This year, Casey, became the forerunner for advocating a Girl's High School Flag football program. His efforts were pivotal in launching the first pilot program in the North Kansas City School district that was also believed to be the first in the Kansas City area as well as in the state of Missouri. Because of his hard work and leadership, all four North Kansas City high schools adopted a pilot Girl's Flag football program that saw great success this fall.Â
Casey has also been able to share this vision and plan with many other school districts with the hope of seeing it grow throughout the state into becoming a sanctioned sport in the years to come in the state of Missouri.
