The Minnesota Vikings will be without one of their running backs for the first bit of the 2019 season.
Roc Thomas was suspended three games by the NFL on Tuesday for violating the league's policy on substances of abuse.
Thomas was arrested in January after Dakota County police officers executed a search warrant of his apartment and found over five ounces of marijuana, over 100 grams over the legal limit, per the Pioneer Press. The running back admitted to felony marijuana possession in May, though the charge will stay off his record if he completes his probation.
A 2018 undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State, Thomas spent last season on and off Minnesota's roster. In five games played, Thomas racked up 10 touches for 51 total yards.
