Steve Smith, Chris Culliver ejected after fight

What could be the final preseason game of Steve Smith's career ended in fitting fashion.

Smith was ejected from Saturday night's game after fighting with Washington Redskins cornerback Chris Culliver, who was also ejected. The sequence had a little bit of everything. Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson started the fracas by pile driving Ravens receiver Kamar Aiken with a brutal tackle.

There were a number of players who started fighting after the tackle, and then Smith and Culliver started a fight to the side. Ravens coach John Harbaugh ran across the field in an effort to get his players back to the sideline, and then eventually started jawing at Redskins coach Jay Gruden. Officials got between the two men and kindly suggested Harbaugh return to his sideline. Smith, meanwhile, bowed to the crowd on his way out.

It will be interesting to see how the NFL treats Harbaugh and the players in the aftermath of this fight. As NFL Media's Jeff Darlington notes, there is a new policy that players not involved in a fight must immediately leave the "fight area." It also says any active participant in a fight will be penalized.

UPDATE:Steve Smith remains the best.
