Roddy White, Jake Matthews return to Falcons practice

The Falcons are nearing full power as they head into Monday night's opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Atlanta welcomed veteran wideout Roddy White and left tackle Jake Matthewsback to practice on Tuesday, per ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure.

White hasn't stepped on the field since undergoing elbow surgery on August 23. Matthews was battling a strained back.

It's a strong indication that White should be ready to fly alongside star pass-catcher Julio Jones. Matthews, meanwhile, struggled last season during his rookie campaign, but told reporters this summer that he's a good fit for play-caller Kyle Shanahan's zone-blocking scheme.

New Falcons coach Dan Quinn will need everyone healthy to keep pace on Monday with an Eagles offense that averaged a whopping 34.8 points per game during their frisky romp through the preseason.
