Projected 2015 starters: Washington Redskins

Around The NFL predicts the Week 1 starting lineups for all 32 teams, analyzing the potential impact of each rookie class. See every breakdown here.

» I'm not sold on the praise Washington has showered on Griffin under center. The Redskins feel primed to start multiple quarterbacks all over again in 2015, with Kirk Cousins or Colt McCoy likely to see time if RGIII stumbles. That said, the push inside the organization to turn Griffin into a winner is coming from the top. He'll need to fall flat on his face in camp to lose the job before Week 1.

» It wasn't the sexiest No. 5 pick of all time, but first-rounder Brandon Scherff will start the year at right tackle, providing an instant upgrade to an offensive line that allowed an outrageous 58 sacks last season, second worst in the NFL. At guard, Shawn Lauvao is an up-and-down performer who could lose his job if someone else emerges before September.

»Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan deserves credit for shoring up a thin secondary. Free-agent addition Chris Culliver steps into the lineup as Washington's No. 1 cornerback with DeAngelo Hall taking the other spot on the outside. I'm putting Bashaud Breeland in the slot, but it's possible he'll switch places with Hall.

» We like the signing of Terrance Knighton. The nose tackle helps solidify a front seven that finished 21st in sacks in 2014. With Brian Orakpo out the door, Trent Murphy steps into the rotation at outside linebacker across from Ryan Kerrigan.

»Alfred Morris remains the team's workhorse, but his snap count could take a hit if third-round running back Matt Jones impresses coach Jay Gruden and friends.
