Each week, the Around The League writer with the worst record in picks has to write our introduction. This week, that man is Kevin Patra.
In case you missed it, Ryan Riess, who once attended Our Lady of the Lakes High School in Waterford, Mich., won $8.4 million Tuesday night at the World Series of Poker.
This is pertinent -- not because the 23-year-old now can make it rain something serious at a club -- but because of the jersey he wore.
During the two-day event, Riess sported a Calvin Johnson jersey.
Seriously, Megatron brings magic to any situation. (I wonder if Diddy helped out Riess at all?)
The lesson was obvious. If I wanted to dominate picks this week, I needed to shun the stained shirt and slip on No. 81's Detroit Lions jersey.
I went with home colors.
