Paul Tagliabue's bounty appeals ruling expected soon

An appeals ruling on the players involved in the New Orleans Saints bounty case could come as soon as Monday or Tuesday, NFL.com's Albert Breer reports. Sources close to the involved players said former commissioner Paul Tagliabue could make an announcement in the next 72 hours.

The testimony of Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, former Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress and Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt ended the latest appeal hearing Dec. 3.

This could finally mark the end of the bounty process. Then again, we've thought this before.
