Michael Vick not worried about losing Eagles' QB job

Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid sure seemed to leave the door open to possibly benching quarterback Michael Vick earlier this week. Reid has since spent a lot of energy trying to close the door, saying Wednesday it was just a case of "bad semantics."

(If "bad semantics" made sense as a phrase, Reid's usage above would be "bad semantics.")

Reid spoke with Vick about the comments to clarify he didn't intend to imply a lack of confidence. Vick said he's not worried about his job security.

"No, not at all. I know I can get the job done," Vick said, via NFL.com and NFL Network's Jeff Darlington.

Vick has turned over the ball nine times in three games. Columnists in Philadelphia are calling on Nick Foles to get more practice snaps. We suspect the Eagles would have to fall under .500 for that to happen.

That's at least two weeks of hand-wringing away.
