Michael Oher clip illustrates Levi's Stadium turf issues

The Carolina Panthers' offensive line struggled to block Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware throughout Super Bowl 50. The field conditions at Levi's Stadium didn't appear to do them any favors.

Yes, that's 315-pound Panthers left tackle Michael Oher looking like a graphic glitch in Madden 94 on Sega Genesis.

The Levi's Stadium turf has been a source of agita since the facility opened before the 2014 season. Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib made pointed comments about the all-grass surface after the Broncos' 24-10 win on Sunday.

"The footing on the field was terrible," Talib said, via The Associated Press. "San Fran has to play eight games on that field so they better do something to get it fixed. It was terrible."

Not everyone took issue with the field. Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller -- who had 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles on his way to game MVP honors -- changed his cleats during the game but said it was a "great field" that played fast.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera was similarly complimentary.

"We didn't have any issues with the field," Rivera said, according to The AP. "Both teams played on the same field. As far as I'm concerned, for me to be able to blame the field is kind of a cop out. The truth of the matter is we both played on the surface. The surface was outstanding."

Opinions vary, but turf issues were apparently a thing in the Bay Area long before the Niners opened their Santa Clara mecca.
