"I definitely have interest in coming back, for sure," Freeman said, per the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "It's a great organization, a great team."
Freeman's season has been one of the more bizarre NFL stories.
After a tumultuous start to his season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Freeman was waived Oct. 7. He signed a one-year contract with the Vikings that paid him $2 million, per the Pioneer Press. Freeman then started against the New York Giants on Oct. 21. He went 20-of-53 passing and suffered a concussion.
He's been on the sideline since that game.
Freeman said he's been told why he's been shelved, but he wouldn't divulge the reason.
"It's a conversation between me and the coaches," Freeman said.
It will be an interesting offseason in Minnesota and Freeman's future is just a small portion of the fun.
