Dolphins-Giants starts after delay due to weather

The start of Friday's preseason game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants at MetLife Stadium was delayed 56 minutes because of lightning.

The game kicked off at 7:56 p.m. ET.

About 15 minutes before the scheduled 7 p.m. ET start of the game, the Giants asked fans to leave the stadium's seating area and take shelter from the weather in the stadium's concourses. Reporters attending the game posted videos to Twitter of the field goal uprights moving in the winds buffeting the field.
