DeAngelo Hall's plea to the NFL seems to have fallen on deaf ears. The Washington Redskins cornerback was kicked out of last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers for an incident with an official. Hall said the official verbally abused him also and those wearing stripes should be held to the same standards as those in pads.

NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Hall will be fined, but not suspended, for his encounter with the official, according to a source briefed on the situation.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora first reported that Hall was looking at a fine/warning from the league, not a suspension. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell already sided with head linesman Dana McKenzie.
"There's respect for the people who are playing the game, coaching the game and officiating the game, and it is critical that we have that," Goodell said Wednesday. "And it is not only respect for the game and the people who are involved, but also sportsmanship. And we want to make sure that we maintain that.
"That's not what football is about. We're not suggesting that everyone is going to agree with every officiating call on the field, but there's a way to do that and there's a way not to do it. And we have very strong rules in this area, and we're going to enforce them aggressively."
This is a fight Hall's not going to win. The best move is to take the fine and move on. Then again, this is DeAngelo Hall.
