Chargers' D.J. Fluker kept playing after bug bit his eye

Blocking 300-pound defensive linemen like Jurrell Casey is tough enough. Now consider holding off massive bull rushers with one eye.

That is apparently what San Diego Chargers guard D.J. Fluker did Sunday versus the Tennessee Titans.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Fluker was bit in the eye by a bug during the game and couldn't see out of one eye.

Now we have to deal with eye-biting bugs? Calm down, nature.

We're not sure exactly when in the game Fluker sustained the injury.

Despite an insect feasting on his eye, he didn't miss a snap, per Next Gen Stats, and helped pave way for Melvin Gordon's 196-yard rushing day as the Chargers defeated the Titans. .

Add perseverance in the face of gnawing bug to Fluker's resume.
