Brandon McManus re-signed by Denver Broncos

Two weeks after being waived, kicker Brandon McManus is back on the Denver Broncos' roster.

The team announced Saturday that McManus has been signed from the practice squad while punt returner Isaiah Burse has been waived.

McManus will be relegated to the kickoff specialist role after Connor Barth failed to send six of his eight kickoffs past the Chiefs' 5-yard line in his Broncos debut. Barth will continue to handle field goals.

Meanwhile, the punt-return job is up for grabs. Burse had fielded all 53 punts this season, returning 29 for a 7.2 yard average.

Although Emmanuel Sanders is next on the depth chart, the Broncos might opt for Andre Caldwell, Omar Bolden or Wes Welker on punt returns.
