"It's Steve Sabol and NFL Films," Belichick said Wednesday. "I had a lot of trust and (a) great relationship with him, so usually when he asked me to do something, I try to accommodate him."
This should be a cool one. The show looks at how Belichick's staff dealt with the franchise's announced move to Baltimore in 1995. That staff included a ton of names who went on to success after Cleveland: Nick Saban, Ozzie Newsome, Kirk Ferentz, Jim Schwartz, Scott Pioli, Eric Mangini, Thomas Dimitroff, Mike Tannenbaum and Phil Savage. Nine future head coaches and general managers were on Belichick's staff before the football world came crashing down around him.
Belichick has yet to see the show, but he does know that NFL Films uncovered some hideous looking early 1990s sweaters.
"You like that orange one?" Belichick joked. "Well, they've outlawed those in the NFL, so you won't see those coming back."
"I love watching it on TV and watching other people do it, but haven't felt great about doing it personally because I want everything to be authentic," Rodgers said on his weekly radio show, via the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "Often, I don't think the interaction is going to be the same. This one, I tried not to think about it at all."
