Big Ben wants team to have fun while kicking butt

When Ben Roethlisberger is healthy, the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense is the most explosive unit in the NFL.

Sunday night the Steelers piled up 522 total yards of offense in a 45-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The win marked the fourth-consecutive game Pittsburgh scored at least 30 points -- Big Ben came off the bench early in one and started the last three games -- marking the first time scoring 30-plus points in four straight games within a season in franchise history (since 1933: 81 years). In the four contests, Roethlisberger has completed 106 of 171 passes for 1,533 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions.

"I told guys before the game, 'Just go out and have fun. When you come back in here, you should have a bunch of texts on your phone saying that it looked like you guys had fun. I want the world to see the Pittsburgh Steelers having fun and kicking butt,'" Roethlisberger said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I thought it looked that way tonight."

The Steelers certainly have kicked butt offensively. Zero teams can match the dynamic Antonio Brown-Martavis Bryant receiver combo. DeAngelo Williams has taken over for Le'Veon Bell without skipping a beat.

Perhaps most fun is the Steelers' willingness to take shots down field at any time and any place on the field. It's the type of aggressive mentality that allows them to average 529.0 yards over a four-game span.

"That's what we expect to do. That's what we're supposed to do," Roethlisberger said about Sunday's offensive barrage. "But I'm more upset about what we left on the field. I missed a couple of throws. We had a couple of drops. We want to be perfect."

With tilts against the current No. 1 and 2 teams in the AFC in back-to-back weeks -- the Bengals and Broncos, respectively -- Pittsburgh will need that perfection to claw their way back into the playoffs.
