Big Ben probable for Colts-Steelers showdown

Ben Roethlisberger is expected to be under center when the Steelers host the Colts on Sunday Night Football.

Though this always appeared to be the conclusion, the Steelers (6-5) made it all but official by listing him probable (concussion) after he had another solid practice Friday.

Health has been an issue all season long for Roethlisberger, who has completed just three games all year. However, he's managed to make enough of a difference that Pittsburgh is still very much in the playoff race. Beating the Colts would go a long way toward shaping the lineup for an AFC wild-card spot given that Indianapolis (6-5) currently holds a slender advantage over Pittsburgh. As of Friday, the Steelers are the eighth seed -- on the outside looking in.

It's also advantageous given how well the Colts have played with backup Matt Hasselbeck. The 40-year-old has not lost a game under center this season and the Colts have not lost a game since Nov. 2.
