Fasano will join the Chiefs after spending the last five seasons with the Miami Dolphins. Fasano joins Tony Moeaki to form a tight end tandem that has the potential to do damage in new coach Andy Reid's West Coast offense. The Chiefs previously attempted to pair Moeki with Kevin Boss, but lingering concussion issues led to Boss' release.
Fasano set a career high last season with 41 receptions for 332 yards and five touchdowns. His yards-per-catch average plummeted six full yards (14.1 to 8.1) in 2012, but that likely was more the product of a more conservative Dolphins offense with rookie Ryan Tannehill behind center. Fasano will be 29 next month.
