Andrew Luck (elbow, shoulder) sits out Colts practice

Andrew Luck is back on the injury report.

The Indianapolis Colts' quarterback didn't practice Wednesday due to shoulder and elbow injuries.

Last week, Luck was limited in each practice with a shoulder injury but was not on the final injury report. He played every snap in Sunday's loss to the Texans. Luck played one of the worst games of his season Sunday, missing several throws, completing just 53.3 percent of his passes and throwing two interceptions.

Luck missed one game earlier this season due to a concussion.

Coach Chuck Pagano said he expects Luck to play Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings and hopes to have the quarterback at practice on Thursday.

Behind a porous offensive line, Luck has taken 96 QB hits this season, most in the NFL. Since 2012, Luck has taken 471 QB hits, most in that span.

When asked about the continual beatings Luck takes, Pagano replied: "We've got to be better ... we can't keep going down that road," per the Indy Star.
