The Rams need players at just about every position. This helps new GM Les Snead because he can take the best player available with every draft pick without worry. Even at quarterback and running back, the team will look for back-ups behind Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson. Finding a true No. 1 receiver for Bradford is of utmost importance; former Giant/Eagle Steve Smith might prove a bargain if healthy, but Greg Salas, Austin Pettis and Danny Amendola are best as complementary pieces. If guard Jacob Bell and the versatile Adam Goldberg don't return, those holes in the offensive line must be filled.Even though Snead can't possibly fill every need in one year, the team's shortage of outside linebackers has reached critical levels. Finding more bodies to help Chris Long and Robert Quinn rush the passer is another concern. Adding defensive tackle Kendall Langford and cornerback Cortland Finnegan as free agents helped the defense, but the team is by no means done building at those spots.

GM John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll settled the team's biggest need by signing QB Matt Flynn. They could use a legitimate outside threat across from Sidney Rice, in addition to the promising Doug Baldwin and solid tight end Zach Miller. Breno Giacomini re-signed with the team and could start at right tackle while James Carpenter moves inside. But don't be surprised if the team picks up Seattle-area native David DeCastro in the first round to solidify things in front of Flynn and lead the way for Marshawn Lynch.David Hawthorne has led the team in tackles in each of the past three seasons and Leroy Hill's inconsistencies might not allow him to return in 2012, at least at a starters' salary; that means finding an instinctive Mike and athletic Sam 'backer might be high on the team's priority list. The depth at defensive end behind Red Bryant and Chris Clemons is lacking, so pass rushers will be coveted, as will depth at cornerback to improve the team's nickel and dime personnel.

Morris is a bit of a tweener -- not big enough to be a physically imposing back in the NFL, but far from fast or athletic enough to impress with his athleticism. He is a serviceable runner who at best could carry a load like BenJarvus Green-Ellis of New England, but he will have to prove he has the speed and athleticism to deserve a shot. He carries late-round or free-agent value.

The Bucs made a big splash in free agency by landing Vincent Jackson. They also addressed a need area by bringing in cornerback Eric Wright and bringing back Ronde Barber. Giving big contracts to interior offensive linemen Carl Nicks and Jeremy Zuttah will also help Josh Freemanx92s development, but it will be interesting to see how new coach Greg Schiano views starting tackles Donald Penn and Jeremy Trueblood. An older prospect who was out of school for two years on a religious mission, his age defines him as a player and prospect. All teams will love his athletic ability and experience playing in space in the Oregon spread-option attack, but some teams consider his age (27) a sign of maturity, while others downgrade him because he is well into his prime. Regardless, Mark would serve well working at either tackle or guard for a team with a heavy zone-blocking scheme where drive blocking and fitting on second level players is key. Look for him to be a middle-round pick and viable starting option early.

Gray is a well-rounded back who can block, run and catch the ball out of the backfield. He has great size and has been productive as a pass catcher throughout his career. He is highly elusive in the open field and understands the nuances of short-intermediate running back routes in the passing game. He is ideal for a screen-heavy team, as he has reliable hands and is patient to wait for plays to develop. He likes to bounce the ball outside, sometimes too quickly, but he is effective when doing so. There are knocks on his game as an inside runner, which will keep him from getting drafted as an every-down back in the NFL. He does, however, bring value as a returner. Although not explosive, he is effective in this role. Look for him to be selected in the middle rounds.

The Bears looked like a playoff team, but then Jay Cutler went down with a broken thumb and the team fell out of contention. Signing Jason Campbell to back up Cutler was a necessary step. New GM Phil Emery also made a bold opening move in acquiring receiver Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins for a pair of third-round picks. The Bears also need more bodies at offensive tackle, as they found out when 2011 first-rounder Gabe Carimi went on IR. Some would argue the team's interior line could be improved, as well.The defense finished fifth defending the rush ... and 28th against the pass. Despite having Julius Peppers' 11 sacks on one side of the line, the team didn't consistently get to the quarterback, so finding another pass-rushing end should be a priority. Bolstering the talent at cornerback is also a must if Chicago hopes to stop the high-flying Packers and Lions. Feisty Tim Jennings returns for 2012, but depth is lacking with the departures of Zackary Bowman and Corey Graham.

The strongest senior thrower in this year's draft, Lindley can make cross-field deep out throws with ease. He is athletic in his pass set and does a good job surveying the field for his second and third reads. His problems have surrounded his judgment at times in games, where can rely too heavily on his "gun slinger" mentality and get into trouble with interceptions and poorly placed balls. On his size and arm strength alone, Lindley should be selected in the late third round to a team looking to use him as a developmental project behind a currently stable quarterback situation.

Hanna is a thick tight end who is much more of a crafty receiving threat than he is a blocker, and has been consistent throughout his two years as a starter at Oklahoma. He is a good catcher and can adjust well to poorly thrown balls, even with a man draped over him. Hanna is a straight-line runner who isn't very good at maneuvering in his routes, but his speed is deceptive and he just possesses the "it" factor when it comes to making a catch at the top of his routes. He is a limited prospect who could be taken in the late rounds of the draft, but will come in, compete and potentially make a team based off his willingness to play special teams and ability as a pass-catching tight end. He only had two catches for 18 yards against Iowa in the Insight Bowl, which wasn't far off his average and about what type of player he is: Reliable to make a few tough catches, but not going to have any sort of "Rob Gronkowski-type production" from the position anytime soon.

The Jets struggled to move the ball consistently in 2011. It seemed like the team planned to upgrade the offensive line and receiver group around quarterback Mark Sanchez this offseason, but the addition of Tim Tebow via trade from the Broncos will make for an interesting training camp. Right tackle Wayne Hunter signed a four-year extension last summer, but the team has reportedly put him on the trading block. Drafting another guard to challenge Matt Slauson and Brandon Moore also seems prudent. Gang Green signed Chaz Schilens from the Raiders and brought back Patrick Turner, but might try to draft another true vertical threat.Midseason pickup Aaron Maybin led the team with just six sacks in 2011, so it might make sense to add another young pass rusher. The Jets could attempt to find an interior linebacker early in the draft. Bodies are needed in the secondary, especially if free agent signee LaRon Landry is not healthy enough to start at safety coming off his Achilles injury.

The Raiders' new GM, Reggie McKenzie, cleaned house a bit after the team's 8-8 season. He released TE Kevin Boss, LB Kamerion Wimbley and CB Stanford Routt, while also losing free agents Michael Bush and Samson Satele. Oakland is also without its first four picks in the 2012 draft due to trades and the supplemental draft, though the league awarded the Raiders a third-round compensatory pick (95th overall), giving them one pick in the first two days of the draft.Signing cornerbacks Shawntae Spencer and Ron Bartell helps, but McKenzie might still try to upgrade the talent there. Finding a linebacker to start across from seemingly revitalized Aaron Curry is a major need. McKenzie gave RT Khalif Barnes a one-year deal, but might look to find him competition if unsure of his ability to protect QB Carson Palmer. Losing Boss to the Chiefs creates an opportunity for a mid-round pick at tight end to make an impact as a rookie.

The Texans made the playoffs for the first time in 2011, and their roster is set up for another division title. They did create a roster need after releasing right tackle Eric Winston as a cap casualty, partially due to big contracts awarded to running back Arian Foster and center Chris Myers. Coach Gary Kubiak also wants another outside receiver to complement Kevin Walter and Owen Daniels, as well as take advantage of any extra attention paid to Pro Bowler Andre Johnson.Allowing Mario Williams to leave as a free agent and trading DeMeco Ryans to the Eagles will put ascending linebackers Brooks Reed and Darryl Sharpton on the field more regularly. But this team must add more second-level defenders, as well as a big nose tackle in the middle of the three-man front and cornerback depth with the loss of free agent Jason Allen to Cincinnati. Stocking up in these areas would help the defense continue the quick progress it made under defensive coordinator Wade Phillips last season.

In 2011, Jim Schwartz led the Lions to their first playoff appearance since 1999. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson headlined the offense, but Schwartz might be interested in bringing balance -- the team finished 29th in rushing. Finding a mid-round value at running back might be in the cards if the team isn't sure Jahvid Best can stay healthy. Kevin Smith started off hot in his triumphant midseason return, but reverted to a sub-4.0 yards-per-carry average late in the year. Johnson, Nate Burleson and Titus Young form a dangerous trio, but the potential of injuries should lead the team toward finding more weapons for Stafford.Detroit's pass defense should get some attention in this year's draft, especially with 2011 starting cornerback Eric Wright now playing for Tampa Bay. Adding a starter-quality prospect as well as at least one potential nickel contributor seems prudent. As does building depth at linebacker to make sure the team's front four doesn't have to do all the work.

Despite the success of many two-tight end sets featuring Rob Gronkowski (1,327 receiving yards, 17 TD in 2011) and Aaron Hernandez (910, 7) on the way to the Super Bowl XLVI, the Patriots upgraded their receiving corps in free agency by putting the franchise tag on Wes Welker, re-signing Deion Branch and bringing in Brandon Lloyd (who reunites with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, his coach in Denver), Anthony Gonzalez, and Donté Stallworth. Signing guard Robert Gallery helped add depth on the line, as well.The Patriots' major needs still remain on the defensive side of the ball, however. They found bit players in free agents Jonathan Fanene and Trevor Scott, but lost Anderson (10 sacks last year) to Buffalo. Expect the Pats to use their multiple first- and second-round draft picks (they have four of the top 62 picks) to bolster their pass rush, as well as add depth at safety and cornerback behind starters Devin McCourty and Kyle Arrington.

The 49ers have a strong roster without a lot of major needs. Failing to land Peyton Manning led the team to bring back Alex Smith, and they also signed back-up Josh Johnson. He played for Niners coach Jim Harbaugh at the University of San Diego. The team also brought in receivers Randy Moss and Mario Manningham to replace Braylon Edwards and Josh Morgan. If Harbaugh believes those moves are sufficient to improve the offense, then a relatively high draft pick might be used to replace starting right guard Adam Snyder.The league's second-ranked defense was a big reason for the team's improvement. The team locked up two players with six interceptions in 2011, using the franchise tag on safety Dashon Goldson and signing Carlos Rogers. Shawntae Spencer defected to Oakland, however, so corner is still a need -- unless troubled free-agent acquisition Perrish Cox starts living up to his potential. Adding more difference-makers at defensive end would make a strong front seven even better.

He was a consistent, durable starter on the line for Miami in his last two years and didn't miss a game. He held down the left tackle position on a team with very talented tackles in their stable. PROSPECT ANALYSIS
Ganaway has been a nice supplementary asset to the Baylor offense. He had an impressive showing against Washington in a bowl game and showed why he is more than just an afterthought to Robert Griffin III in Baylor's offense. While he may have benefited from the holes that his Heisman-winning quarterback and top-wide receiver prospect (Kendall Wright) opened up for him in the run game due to their stellar pass play, Ganaway is a legitimate prospect in his own right. He shows good initial quickness, a burst through the line, and seriously imposing size that give him fourth- or fifth-round value.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
The Jets struggled to move the ball consistently in 2011. It seemed like the team planned to upgrade the offensive line and receiver group around quarterback Mark Sanchez this offseason, but the addition of Tim Tebow via trade from the Broncos will make for an interesting training camp. Right tackle Wayne Hunter signed a four-year extension last summer, but the team has reportedly put him on the trading block. Drafting another guard to challenge Matt Slauson and Brandon Moore also seems prudent. Gang Green signed Chaz Schilens from the Raiders and brought back Patrick Turner, but might try to draft another true vertical threat.Midseason pickup Aaron Maybin led the team with just six sacks in 2011, so it might make sense to add another young pass rusher. The Jets could attempt to find an interior linebacker early in the draft. Bodies are needed in the secondary, especially if free agent signee LaRon Landry is not healthy enough to start at safety coming off his Achilles injury.

Acho is a strong physical talent out of Texas who has been a productive force inside for the Longhorns the past two years. There are certain hitches in his athletic ability and running motion that inhibit him on the field, but he shows up consistently and knows how to tackle and play well in the box. He has shown the ability to be a special teamer at the next level and seems to have the temperamant to contribute there. He is a fifth- or sixth-round talent based on his ability to contribute early.

PROSPECT ANALYSIS
Winn has been a force up front for Boise State for several years. His consistency and ferociousness stays in your memory after watching him play. Although he isn't necessarily great with any one skill or talent, he grades out well because the whole is definitely greater than the sum of his parts. There are hitches in his play that he will need to work on to survive at the next level, such as using technique and adapting to the play speed, but once done Winn should excel. Expect him to be taken near the top of the second round by a team that knows it will be receiving a high-effort, high-energy player to roam along its front four.
