He had played sparingly in more of a scat back role prior to this year, but showed that he is a true starting tailback who possesses many traits of a first rounder. While there is debate about the risk behind investing an early round selection on a back whose shelf life is short, Miller has put together enough solid tape to garner a late first-round value and should continue to excite and ascend as he displays his athletic ability throughout the pre-draft process.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
Baltimore's defense led the team to the AFC Championship Game, but GM Ozzie Newsome will look to bolster some spots with much-needed youth and depth. The loss of Tom Zbikowski to the Colts leaves the team thin at safety. Signing Sean Considine picks up a bit of the slack and veteran Bernard Pollard could man one starting spot again, but no one knows how much longer Ed Reed will be with the team. Losing long-time starter Jarret Johnson opens up spots for young players like Paul Kruger and Sergio Kindle -- or the team might add more talent through the draft. Defensive end Cory Redding signed with the Colts, too, creating an opening in the three-man front.Joe Flacco also needs more support at receiver to improve the Ravens' passing game, as Lee Evans never really became a threat beside Anquan Boldin and rookie Torrey Smith last season. Baltimore must replace left guard Ben Grubbs, now with the New Orleans Saints, to keep Flacco upright and star RB Ray Rice moving the chains.

A defensive tackle at Nebraska, Crick shows value not only in his ability to be effective playing inside but also as a potential defensive end, particularly in a 3-4 scheme. It's easy to forget the Giants finished 9-7 last season. In fact, they scored fewer points than their opponents in the regular season (394 to 400). The Giants didn't add a lot to the offense via free agency, however. They signed Bennett away from Dallas to bolster their tight end group. But No. 3 receiver Mario Manningham took his talents to San Francisco, leaving a big hole needing to be filled via the draft. Unless 2011 fourth-round pick James Brewer takes over at right tackle for Kareem McKenzie, or the team brings the veteran back, that position needs to be addressed.Jerry Reese and Tom Coughlin built a champion through their defensive front seven and undoubtedly will continue to add strength in the interior line. It would be a great story if cancer survivor Mark Herzlich could start at middle linebacker, but he'll probably see some competition. Aaron Ross' signing with Jacksonville makes finding more cornerbacks a priority in the middle rounds of the draft.

Mosley has not been playing tackle long, as he played defensive end and tight end at Coffeyville Community College who converted to the position after signing with Auburn. He continues to develop both physically and with his skill set, and has some traits that make him a late-round prospect. Expect him to possibly be selected in the seventh round by a team with the depth and patience to develop his big body on the outside.

One of the top prospects to emerge from Maine in years, McMillian is a strong and physical safety who will be valued fairly high by an NFL team that needs help in its run defense. He is an athlete who at times can look stiff in his movements when covering the pass. When it comes to getting involved in the run game, McMillian brings it full-go every time and is a real aggressive player. His value lies in his ability to support the run and be a sure tackler, and he has sixth-round value based on this. He will likely be a make-it guy as a late-round selection for a team as he will be a reliable backup option early on and a serious contributor on special teams. Without doubt he is a player who needs to be heavily involved with the front seven and will be attractive to blitz-heavy defenses.

Childs' career at Arkansas lacked consistency but showed enough that he should be considered worthy of a late-round pick to a team who can hope to tap into and develop the talent and ability he showed early on his career. Fortunately for Childs, he showed up as an effective playmaker in the last game of his career, the BCS National Championship Game, which could show teams he is capable of being the player he was early on at Arkansas. The single most influential play of Childs' college career was when he suffering a torn patella tendon injury during the 2010 season, which left him obviously uncomfortable when running routes throughout 2011. If Childs can convince teams he is the playmaker they saw in the final game of his career, he could continue to rise.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
Losing two division games at the end of the 2011 season cost the Cowboys a playoff berth. The team also lost two free agents on offense, receiver Laurent Robinson and reserve tight end Martellus Bennett. Tony Romo would love the team to find a young receiver to go with Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, as well as a promising pass-catching tight end to spell Jason Witten. Romo got help up front in free agency, with guards Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau, and more offensive linemen might be added in the draft.Owner Jerry Jones used the franchise tag to keep linebacker Anthony Spencer and opened up the pocketbook to bring in Dan Connor. Jones also signed former Chiefs starting corner Brandon Carr to replace cap casualty Terence Newman, but the depth behind Carr and Mike Jenkins is not exceptional. Brodney Pool also signed on to potentially start next to Gerald Sensabaugh, though the team should continue to add talent there if they want to improve on their 23rd-ranked passing defense.
