Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams, who dislocated his right elbow during Saturday night's preseason game, likely will miss the Sept. 12 season opener against the Oakland Raiders, The Denver Post reported.
Williams was injured when he tackled Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Clayton after a 2-yard gain with 9:15 left in the first quarter. Williams left the field and went to the Broncos' locker room, and his right arm was heavily wrapped from his wrist to halfway up the biceps after the game.
"I'll be all right," Williams told The Post.
Williams, who led the Broncos in tackles the previous two seasons, is expected to miss three to four weeks, meaning he also could sit out the Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
