One thing to keep in mind: Pro-day testing results tend to be more favorable for prospects than combine results.

North Carolina: Trubisky helps cause

Big draw: QB Mitchell Trubisky
Don't forget: WR Ryan Switzer
Attendance: All 32 clubs were represented by a reported turnout of 75 NFL personnel. Among them was 49ers GM John Lynch, who holds the No. 2 overall pick and is in need of a QB.
The skinny: Trubisky was naturally the main attraction as one of the draft's top quarterbacks, although no head coaches were in attendance. They missed an impressive performance, according to NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock.

"Mitch Trubisky I thought had a really solid day. (The) 68 plays scripted by his quarterback coach Ryan Lindley showed off his footwork and movement skills. He doesn't have an overpowering arm, but what is he? He's a timing thrower, he's an anticipatory thrower, and he can really move, left or right," said Mayock, who attended the pro day. "... As far as his arm strength, solid. As far as ball location and accuracy, outstanding. I thought he had a really good day and I think he helped himself."

After running a sub-4.7 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, Trubisky participated only in a positional workout at the pro day. He completed 54 of 63 passes, four of which were dropped, according to USA Today. ... RB Elijah Hood, whose only combine participation was the bench press (18 reps), filled in a lot of blanks for scouts on Tuesday. At 230 pounds, he was clocked at a 4.58 40-yard dash, per the school, with a broad jump of 9-5 and a vertical jump of 31.5 inches. Eagles RB coach Deuce Staley ran the running backs workout. ... UNC WRs Ryan Switzer and Mack Hollins stood on their combine results.

UCLA: Moreau cuts workout short

Big draw: CB Fabian Moreau
Don't forget: DE Takkarist McKinley
Attendance: Defensive coordinators Ken Norton (Raiders) and Kris Richard (Seahawks) were reportedly at UCLA for the workout, along withBills GM Doug Whaley.
The skinny: Moreau passed on the 40-yard dash drill at pro day, and it's no surprise given his stellar 40 at the combine (4.35 seconds). He suffered a chest injury and shut down his workout early, but the significance was downplayed by Bruins coach Jim Mora. ... UCLA's Ishmael Adams, who played both CB and WR in college, got a look from scouts on punt returns at pro day.

South Florida: Mack, Adams pass on 40

Big draw: RB Marlon Mack
Don't forget: WR Rodney Adams
Attendance: Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter was among the notables at USF.
The skinny: Mack and Adams passed on the 40-yard dash timing at USF's pro day after running 4.50 and 4.56, respectively, at the combine. Mack worked with Jacksonville Jaguars running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley in position drills. ... Jaguars receivers coach Keenan McCardell ran position drills for USF receivers and took some time to speak with Adams.
