Washington Redskins open training camp to Virginia soldiers

The Washington Redskins hosted soldiers from Fort Lee, Naval Station Norfolk and Langley Air Force Base at training-camp practice Wednesday, according to the team's official website.

The presence of military personnel brought pride while humbling a number of Redskins players.

The visit was made possible by USAA, which also will sponsor the NFL's military festivities during November. It was led by Eric Kettani, a fullback who recently was promoted to lieutenant in the Navy.
