USC wide receiver Marqise Lee injured at practice

Trojans wide receiver Marqise Lee suffered an injury Friday at practice and it's not clear when he will be able to return to the field. The USC athletic department posted an update on Lee's status to its Twitter account Saturday.

A source told CBSSports.com's Bruce Feldman that it is not yet known if Lee, the 2012 Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top wide receiver, will return within a week.

Multiple reports said that medical staff examined Lee's right shoulder Friday after he tried to reel in a deep pass from QB Cody Kessler and took a hard fall. Lee was helped off the field.

USC head coach Lane Kiffin did not offer any specifics on Lee's status after practice Friday. Kessler said Lee told teammates he would be fine before leaving the field, according to the Associated Press.

The loss of Lee, who has 191 career catches for 2,864 yards and 25 touchdowns, would be massive for USC. He is considered the best player in college football in some circles.
