Barkley's decision

Tune into NFL Network's "Around the League" at 4 p.m. ET Thursday for coverage of USC quarterback Matt Barkley's press conference.

Several prominent agents told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that they believe Barkley will stay in school for his senior season. They don't know 100 percent what he will announce, but they are generally very plugged in on a prominent player such as this.

The announcement will be live-streamed on the Trojans' official athletic website .

Barkley led the Trojans' to a 10-2 record this past season -- including a 38-35 upset of Oregon in which Barkley threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns. During his junior season, Barkley set a Pac-12 record for touchdown passes in a single season (39) and set a school record for completion percentage (69.1). Barkley also threw for 3,528 yards and had only seven interceptions in 446 pass attempts.

NFL.com's draft expert Bucky Brooks has Barkley ranked as his third best pro prospect in college football behind Stanford's Andrew Luck (who's already announced his intentions to apply for entry into the draft) and Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
