Situation: Trailing 19-13 to the Falcons, Kyle Orton puts the Bears ahead with a 17-yard strike to Rashied Davis.

The drive: With 11 precious seconds remaining on the game clock, Harry Douglas fields a squib kick from Robbie Gould at the 34-yard line and returns it 10 yards. Now with just six seconds left, Matt Ryan hits Michael Jenkins on the sidelines for a 26-yard gain to the Bears' 30-yard line .

The result: After the play was upheld following a replay, veteran kicker Jason Elam connected on a 48-yard field goal attempt to give the Falcons the win after an amazing turn of events. The surprising Falcons improved to 4-2 with the win, and are now in a three-way tie for first in the competitive NFC South. The Bears, meanwhile, fall to 3-3 and into a three-way tie for first in the NFC North.   **Watch highlights**

Situation: Trailing 17-16 to the Redskins, the Rams get the ball back with 3:47 left to play at their own 24-yard line.

The drive: In a nine-play drive, Marc Bulger completes two passes -- both to rookie Donnie Avery -- including one for 43 yards to the Redskins' 16-yard line wtih 1:13 remaining in the game .

The result: Not even an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Rams offensive lineman Richie Incognito that pushes the ball back 15 yards fazes Rams kicker Josh Brown. Brown connects on a 49-yard field goal as time expires to give the Rams -- playing their first game under interim head coach Jim Haslett -- their first win of the season. For the Redskins, it was a bitter end to a four-game winning streak in which the team won three on the road against tough divisional opponents.   **Watch highlights**

Situation: Trailing 28-23 to the Dolphins, the Texans get the ball back with 1:40 left to play at their own 24-yard line.

The drive: In a 12-play drive by the Texans, Matt Schaub completes five passes -- including a 23-yarder to Andre Johnson -- but it's a gutsy decision to run on a quarterback keeper on fourth and goal from the Dolphins' 3-yard line with just seven seconds left on the clock that turns into the game-winning play for Houston .

The result: The Texans earned their first win of the season, while the Dolphins fell to 0-4 all-time against the Texans. The Texans remain the only team that the Dolphins have never beaten. Schaub winds up with a career-high 279 passing yards in the game, and Johnson had a career-high 178 receiving yards.   **Watch highlights**

Situation: Trailing 10-9 to the Lions, the Vikings get the ball back with 4:41 left to play at their own 20-yard line.

The drive: In a 10-play drive, the Vikings chew up all but nine seconds remaining on the clock as they march 71 yards to set up Ryan Longwell's 26-yard game-winning field goal. A big chunk of that yardage was gained on a pass interference call on Lions cornerback Leigh Bodden on a Gus Frerotte pass attempt to Aundrae Allison .

The result: A sack by Kevin Williams on Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky ended any potential threat the Lions might make in the final seconds of the game. While the Vikings improved to 3-3 and moved into a three-way tie for first in the NFC North, the Lions fell to 0-5 and remain one of just two teams still looking for their first win of the season ( Bengals, 0-6). The numbers in this game -- which had a score of 3-2 at halftime -- were less than ideal. Both teams combined for 11 sacks and 17 punts.   **Watch highlights**
