New York police officer Kevin Brennan is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head by a thug in Brooklyn.
Brennan's heroics certainly didn't go unnoticed by Giants defensive end Justin Tuck.
Last Friday, the 29-year-old officer, dawning a No. 91 Tuck jersey, miraculously walked out of the hospital, fully recovered, after surviving a bullet wound at the base of his skull just 10 days earlier.
Brennan, a die-hard Giants fan, was forced to watch his team's Super Bowl win over the Patriots from his hospital room. So imagine his surprise when he got home and Tuck pulled up to his driveway a short time later in a black Escalade.
"He (Brennan) was totally shocked -- he had no idea. He said, 'Are you kidding me?,'" Patrolmen's Benevolent Association Trustee John A. Flynn told reporters outside.
For Tuck, it was just a simple way of saying thank you for keeping the streets safe.
“I wanted to show him some support,” Tuck told the New York Daily News. “That's all.”
Props to Tuck for doing this. He helped make Brennan's homecoming even more special.
