Trent Cole 'rejuvenated' with Colts after leaving Philly

There is no question the Indianapolis Colts' offense will score points by the boatload in 2015. The bigger question from now until January is how the defense has been upgraded.

One of the key additions on D is veteran outside linebacker Trent Cole.

The 32-year-old is coming off a 6.5-sack season in his 10th year with the Philadelphia Eagles. After being one of the horde of players cut by Chip Kelly, Cole is happy to have a gig where he can play a vital role.

"I'm here to do what they tell me to do," Cole said, via ESPN.com. "I'm glad to be with a team that wants me here, wants my services and they feel like I can be an impact to this team. That's a great feeling to have, coming to the Colts. We have a lot of talent and a lot of great players here. Just makes you excited for the upcoming season."

The Eagles viewed Cole as an aging veteran on the downslope of his career, but the linebacker believes he has more left in the tank.

"I've always told (reporters), the footage doesn't lie and you need to go back and look at the footage and it'll tell you if I'm going downhill," Cole said. "I feel rejuvenated. Getting in the flow with the team and coming out this minicamp, it's been great."

The Colts desperately need a rejuvenated Cole to add some punch to their pass rush.
