Teams with a quarterback need could stock up early in Round 2

Following up with my first-round mock draft, we now take a look at how the second and third round could play out.

There's no shortage of teams in need of quarterback help, and we could see a run of signal-callers early in the second round.

Where will Ponder land?

With the draft just days away, speculation is at a peak. Vic Carucci thinks there will be four QBs taken in the first round this year -- Christian Ponder included. **More ...**

That could start as early as the 34th pick, with the Buffalo Bills in position to draft Florida State star and Senior Bowl MVP Christian Ponder.

The Bengals might find Carson Palmer's replacement one pick later with Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett. With Palmer's future in Cincinnati up in the air, Mallet could have a direct path to the starting job for Marvin Lewis.

The Washington Redskins are another teams with uncertainty at quarterback, so look for them to address the position in the second round. That could potentially mean three QBs are taken in the first nine choices of the round.
