Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Troy Polamalu was sidelined during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 17-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars due to concussion-like symptoms, according to coach Mike Tomlin.
Polamalu was injured while making a hit on Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew on a third-and-1 play. He left the game after that play, and spent the remainder of the game standing on the sideline with his helmet on. Tomlin updated Polamalu's status after the game.
"We erred on the side of caution there," Tomlin said. "We'll evaluate him to see where he is."
The Steelers also lost right guard Doug Legursky (dislocated toe), safety Ryan Clark (shoulder) and defensive tackle Chris Hoke (stinger) during the game.
