Few things went right for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their season-opening loss at Baltimore, as the hated Ravens dominated on both sides of the ball en route to a 35-7 victory.
But the reeling Steelers might have been dealt an even bigger blow after learning they will be without starting right tackle Willie Colon, who suffered an arm injury that will end his season, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.
Colon is scheduled to have surgery for the injury at 7:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
"Willie is obviously devastated," Colon's agent, Joel Linta, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "But he vows to be back and give the Steelers more good years."
Colon, who missed all of last season with a torn Achilles tendon, signed a new five-year, $29 million contract during the offseason. He had started every game for the Steelers each of the past three seasons.
The Steelers take on the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 2 battle between two 0-1 teams.
