Several big-name running backs on Week 7 fantasy injury report

RotoExperts.com delivers all the important player news with in-depth fantasy analysis for Week 7.

Quarterbacks

Derek Anderson, Cleveland

Anderson (ankle, probable) was able to practice in full this week, but he should not be on fantasy rosters right now.

Trent Edwards, Buffalo

Edwards (concussion) has been declared out for Week 7. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in his place, but he should not be used in most fantasy formats. In fact, he's no more than a last-ditch option in two-quarterback leagues.

Manning (foot) is probable and will start against the Cardinals on Sunday night. He has been able to play through the injury and should be considered a solid starter for Week 7.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay

Rodgers (foot, probable) was able to practice in full this week and will start against the Browns. Your lineup decisions involving Rodgers should not be based on health status.

Running backs

Ahmad Bradshaw, N.Y. Giants

Bradshaw (ankle) is probable and will be active against he Cardinals. He has been able to play through the injury and perform well, so do not hesitate to use him./p>

Felix Jones, Dallas

Jones (knee) is listed probable to face the Falcons, and coach Wade Phillips told the Dallas Morning News the runner could be used "quite a bit." Still, fantasy players cannot always believe what coaches say and should use another option if one is available. It's best to see how Jones looks in his return before activating him again. Marion Barber has been dealing with recent thigh and thumb issues, so Tashard Choice could be the Cowboys' most useful fantasy back right now.

Rashard Mendenhall, Pittsburgh

Mendenhall (knee, probable) was back at full practices by Thursday, so there should be no concerns about his health in Week 7.

Sammy Morris, New England

Morris (knee) has already been declared out and will be inactive against the Buccaneers. Laurence Maroney will get the chance to build on last week's outstanding performance, but he's no lock to put up huge numbers again. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is a more effective inside runner and has sleeper potential. He is worth using if your in need of a running back.

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota

Peterson (ankle) practiced in full on Friday and is listed as probable to face the Steelers. He remains a must-start player in all formats.

Stewart (heel) is listed as questionable to face the Bills, but he was able to practice late in the week. The Oregon product should be active, but owners should go with a healthier alternative if a runner with similar value is an option.

Pierre Thomas, New Orleans

Thomas (hamstring) was limited in practices all week, but both he and Mike Bell (knee) are listed as probable for Week 6. The Saints backfield is muddled for now and could feature a committee approach against the Giants. With Reggie Bush also in the picture, Thomas looks like no more than a flex starter. Bush might be the most productive of the three backs, but should not be expected to post huge totals.

Clinton Portis, Washington

Portis told the Washington Post that he is dealing with lower leg problems that include his MCL, plantar fasciitis and an ankle problem. He missed practices all week but is still expected to play on Monday night. Portis appears to be a risk to go down at any time, so reserve him if you have another option of similar value. Ladell Betts should be added as a reserve if you have room on your roster.

LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego

Tomlinson (illness) is probable and will start against the Chiefs. He should remain active in most lineups.

Michael Turner, Atlanta

Turner (chest) is listed as probable despite being limited in practices this week. There are no major questions about his availability, so start him as you normally would.

Beanie Wells, Arizona

Wells (hip) was limited in practices throughout the week and is listed as questionable to face the Giants. He has not been much a factor yet in fantasy leagues, so keep him reserved.

Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia

Westbrook (ankle) was a full participant in practices throughout the week. He should be used as a No. 2 Fantasy runner against the Redskins.

Wide Receivers

Donnie Avery, St. Louis

Avery (hip, probable) was able to practice fully by Friday and will start against the Colts. However, he should only be used if your team is very thin at the wide receiver spot this week.

Anquan Boldin, Arizona

Boldin (ankle) is listed as questionable and could be a game-time decision against the Giants on Sunday night. Since he plays in a late game, you should strongly consider reserving him Boldin week. Steve Breaston (knee, probable) and Jerheme Urban will see a boost in value if Boldin is out. Breaston is a good start even if Boldin can play in a limited role, and Urban becomes a sneaky bye-week choice if he's pushed into a greater offensive role.

Cotchery (hamstring)has already been declared out and will not face the Raiders. There are no alternative wideouts on the Jets roster who can step forward and be effective while he is absent from the lineup.

Percy Harvin, Minnesota

Harvin (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 7. He is not recommended for use against Pittsburgh even if he can play through the issue again.

Manningham (back, ribs) is listed as probable for Week 7. He is a viable starter again this week, especially against a vulnerable Cardinals secondary.

Chad Ochocinco, Cincinnati

Ochocinco (hip) did not dress for Friday's practice, but he is listed as probable to face the Texans. Fantasy owners should not have major concerns about his availability.

Jennings (hip) is listed as probable for Week 7, despite missing some practice time. Fantasy leaguers should look for him to post at least respectable numbers against Cleveland.

Chaz Schilens, Oakland

Schilens (foot) is listed as questionable as he looks to make his regular-season debut for the Raiders. He should not be added or considered in fantasy leagues until he shows some actual indications that he can be productive.

Roy Williams, Dallas

Williams (ribs) is listed as probable and is slated to start against the Falcons. He has been a big disappointment this season, however, and should not be started until he shows some actual signs of a possible rebound.

Tight ends

Jeremy Shockey, New Orleans

Shockey (shoulder) is listed as probable and will start against the Dolphins in South Florida. He should receive the normal level of starting consideration this week, and is certainly a strong option.
