Robert Griffin III checks Baylor recruitment of Snoop Lion's son

The name Cordell Broadus doesn't resonate nearly like that of Snoop Lion and Robert Griffin III.

But the son of recording artist Snoop is among the most prized high school wide receivers in the nation, and if the football career of the Diamond Barr, Calif., star matches the hype surrounding his recruitment, he'll at least begin to close the gap at the major college level. RGIII, in fact, would apparently like to see Broadus do his thing at Baylor, where Griffin won the Heisman Trophy in 2011. This from Broadus' Twitter feed, a text sent from Griffin to Lion in the wee hours asking about his son:

Broadus (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) also has offers from Notre Dame, UCLA, USC and LSU, among many others.

No word on whether Baylor coach Art Briles has been brushing up on his lyrics from Snoop's latest release, Reincarnated.
