Robert Blanton, Malcolm Mitchell engage in scuffle

Jacoby Brissett had to face a little adversity before his second start with the Patriots.

Brissett and New England wideout Malcolm Mitchell were jogging during pregame warmups, when Buffalo safety Robert Blanton approached Brissett and shoved him. Mitchell came to his rookie quarterback's defense and got into a kerfuffle with the Bills player.

More Buffalo players stampeded to the scuffle, but the brouhaha ended shortly after. Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the tussle began because Blanton didn't take too kindly to the two Patriots jogging along the Bills' side of the field.

Any game featuring Bill Belichick and Rex Ryan on the sidelines is guaranteed to have some tension.
