RG3 fully practices for Redskins, listed as questionable

Robert Griffin III practiced in full Friday, another promising sign he'll play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Gbajabiamila: Free-agent desperation

Life on the fringe of an NFL roster is tough. Right, T.O.? Akbar Gbajabiamila has been there and explains what it's like. **More ...**

The ultimate decision, however, doesn't rest with Griffin or the Washington Redskins.

Griffin has been listed as questionable, five days after he was hit in the head while he scrambled on a rollout play during the third quarter of last Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie star, who suffered a mild concussion on the play, still needs to be medically cleared to play.

"That's what we have doctors for. Doctors make those decisions, we don't," said Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, via the Redskins' official website. "That's why we run all these tests. But why would you not let somebody play if he's felt good right at the end of the game (and) every day until now?

"If he has these tests after practice today and all of sudden he's not feeling good or something's wrong, obviously we're not going to take the chance."

Shanahan can't speak with certainty, but it will be very surprising if Griffin isn't on the field Sunday. Hopefully he learned his lesson to duck out of bounds at prudent times.
