Report: No felony charge for Seattle Seahawks LB Leroy Hill

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill won't be charged with a felony because of a report earlier this year of domestic violence in his Issaquah, Wash., home, MyNorthwest.com reported.

The Seattle Seahawk's linebacker was arrested in January after a woman called police to his home, saying she had been assaulted and held against her will by Hill. But a spokesman for King County prosecutors told MyNorthwest.com on Wednesday they had determined there wasn't enough evidence to support a felony charge.

This was the second such case for the 30-year-old in recent years. In April 2010, he was arrested on a domestic violence charge. In that case, the alleged victim eventually stopped cooperating with prosecutors, and the case was dropped after Hill complied with a court order that required him to follow certain terms for 18 months.

On Jan. 29, police were called to Hill's home, where a woman who said she was his live-in girlfriend told officers that Hill had assaulted her, taken her cellphone and tried to keep her from leaving. Hill was arrested but later released without charges.

The decision not to pursue a felony charge doesn't completely absolve Hill in the case. He still might be charged with a misdemeanor.

Hill has played for the Seahawks since 2005. Last season, he recorded 47 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
