Report: Jaguars' Shad Khan in talks to buy Fulham F.C.

With the Jacksonville Jaguars set to play a "major role" in growing the NFL in London, owner Shad Khan reportedly is looking to immerse himself in a different brand of football from across the pond.

The Daily Mail reported Wednesday that Khan is in talks to buy the English Premier League soccer club Fulham. Longtime Fulham owner Mohamed Al-Fayed reportedly is looking to sell the team after 16 years and is aiming to complete a deal with Khan by week's end.

With the Jaguars committed to playing one game in London over each of the next four seasons, Khan's interest makes sense. He already conducts business overseas and wouldn't be the first NFL owner to dip into the soccer universe: The Glazer family, owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also oversees Manchester United, and former Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner owns Aston Villa.

One way or another, Khan will be in London come October, when his Jaguarshost the San Francisco 49ers at Wembley Stadium.
