Report: Eagles WR Maclin sustains bone bruise in left knee

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin left training-camp practice Tuesday on a cart, but an MRI showed only a bone bruise in his left knee and no ligament damage, CSNPhilly.com reported, citing a league source.

Maclin tweaked his knee during afternoon workouts, which Eagles coach Andy Reid ended shortly after the receiver's injury. According to CSNPhilly.com, there isn't a timetable for Maclin's return, although his type of injury usually requires several weeks of rest.

A first-round draft pick last year, Maclin had 55 catches for 762 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie.

Maclin joins a long list of Eagles players already on the sideline at camp. Wideout DeSean Jackson hurt his back, and cornerback Asante Samuel injured his hamstring. Both missed practice Tuesday.
