Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed returned to the Ravens on Tuesday after spending time with his family, and he participated in practice and team meetings, *The Baltimore Sun* reported.
Reed's older brother, Brian, disappeared Friday after apparently jumping into the Mississippi River to elude police in St. Rose, La. He hasn't been found, although authorities recovered his jacket and shoes.
Reed traveled to his family's Louisiana home following the Ravens' AFC Wild Card victory Sunday at Kansas City.
"He was in good spirits," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday of Reed. "He seemed like he was doing pretty well."
Reed declined to talk after practice, but running back Willis McGahee said he wasn't surprised to see his teammate back so quickly, even after Harbaugh on Monday said there would be no timetable for the safety's return.
"I knew he was coming back," McGahee told the newspaper. "Ed's not the type of guy where he's going to stay away from the game. He loves the game, he loves the guys in this locker room. He has a lot going on right now, but as a team, we've got his back, and as a friend, I've got his back."
