Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (hamstring) misses practice on Wednesday for second straight week

Lamar Jackson's absence could continue for another week.

The quarterback did not participate in the Ravens' Wednesday practice, marking the fourth straight session in which Jackson has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

The same hamstring ailment prevented Jackson from finishing the game in Baltimore's Week 4 loss in Kansas City and kept him out of action entirely in the Ravens' blowout loss to the Houston Texans in Week 5. Cooper Rush played in Jackson's place, completing 14 of 20 passes for 179 yards and three interceptions in the lopsided defeat.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh was vague on Wednesday about Jackson's status for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams.

"Same with all the guys that are dealing with different injuries," Harbaugh said. "I think it'll be indicative as the week goes along what their status will be going forward."

The Ravens (1-4) have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks, watching their once-stingy defense devolve into a toothless unit incapable of preventing Houston's bottom-five scoring offense from piling up 417 yards of offense and 44 points last weekend. The litany of health concerns spilled over to the offensive side in the last 10 days, too, handcuffing an offense that was once the most explosive in the NFL.

If Jackson cannot go again in Week 6, Rush is expected to fill in for the two-time NFL MVP. Earlier in the week, Harbaugh told reporters he was considering all options under center but has yet to announce a change. Veteran backup Tyler "Snoop" Huntley is on the team's practice squad and is a candidate for promotion if Harbaugh is seeking an alternative to Rush.
