On paper, the Ravens are tied for the best mark in the AFC at 9-3 and have little to fear against the searching, winless Colts.
Forget the records. Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs sees Indy's 0-12 mark as a warning sign, and he's urging teammates against taking Sunday's opponent lightly.
"To be honest with you, yeah, because I lost to a O-for team," Suggs told The Baltimore Sun this week.
"I think it was back in '07. It was actually the Miami Dolphins in overtime. A little slant route got us. But this is the NFL and they're professionals, and we're expecting (Indy) to light up and come up in here and play. They're just as big a threat to us as if we were playing anybody else."
The Colts are winless for a reason. Outscored by 184 points, last in takeaways and generating more three-and-outs than any team in football, there's not a lot that scares you here. Especially with quarterback Dan Orlovsky at the helm: The man's 0-8 as an NFL starter.
Historically, this isn't new ground for Indy. The Colts are the last remaining winless team for the sixth time in NFL lore, but this year's free fall is more jarring than any of those debacles, with Peyton Manning's health and future the cause of concern.
Manning or not, Suggs still isn't taking this one lightly.
