Ravens LB Suggs inactive vs. Colts, to miss first NFL game

BALTIMORE -- Linebacker Terrell Suggs is missing his first NFL game after being placed on the Ravens' inactive list Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Suggs sustained a right knee injury on an illegal block by Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn in Monday night's Ravens victory. Suggs was ruled out of the game earlier in the week, ending his run of 105 consecutive games played. He will be replaced by rookie Paul Kruger.

Baltimore's other inactives are running backs Matt Lawrence and Jalen Parmele; offensive tackles Oneil Cousins and Tony Moll; and defensive tackles Brandon McKinney and Kelly Tavalou. John Beck was the Ravens' third quarterback.

Ravens tight end Todd Heap, nursing a chest injury throughout the week, is active. Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (ankle) returns after a two-game absence.

The Colts' inactives were kicker Adam Vinatieri, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, tight end Gijon Robinson, defensive backs Kelvin Hayden and Aaron Robinson, running back Mike Hart and guard Mike Pollack. The third quarterback was Jim Sorgi.
