Ramik Wilson to lean on Kirk Olivadotti for advice about draft

Longtime Washington Redskins defensive assistant Kirk Olivadotti, who now serves as Georgia's inside linebackers coach, will be asked -- if he hasn't already -- to whisper something in Ramik Wilson's ear, and the words might determine whether the Bulldogs linebacker will stay in college or opt for the NFL draft.

Wilson said as much when asked about his stay-or-go decision in a story at onlineathens.com.

"He's like a father figure to me. He's going to help me make the best decision for me. ... He's been in the NFL for a long time and scouted guys, so he knows. I trust him and me and him will make the right decision," Wilson said of his position coach.

Wilson's 128-tackle season is an SEC high entering bowl play. A year after making just six tackles as a sophomore, he also piled up a league-high 72 solo stops. Oddly enough, Wilson indicated in the story that he had not filed yet for feedback from the NFL advisory board that helps underclassmen determine their draft status. Typically, players most serious about the decision have done so by this point.

During his time with the Redskins, Olivadotti coached several outstanding linebackers, including London Fletcher and Brian Orakpo. Olivadotti took the Georgia linebackers job in 2011. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt said there had been little talk in the program about any other Georgia underclassmen considering the NFL.
