Quick take: Titans edge Jags 13-10

It was over when ...
Trailing by three with just under three minutes to go, Jacksonville was forced to punt. Tennessee managed to run out the clock and hold on to a 13-10 victory.

Game balls
The Jaguars defense made life difficult for Vince Young and the Titans offense. Young went 11-of-18 for just 78 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. He did manage to run for the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter. Jaguars quarterback David Garrard made head coach Jack Del Rio's decision to cut Byron Leftwich look like a wise one. Garrard looked confident, going 17-of-30 for 204 yards and a touchdown. Garrard also ran for 24 yards. For the Titans, Chris Brown looks to have solidified the running back position, rushing for 175 yards on 19 carries.

Key stat
The Titans' passing game was non-existent, but they made up for it on the ground. Young, Brown and LenDale White combined for a franchise record 282 yards rushing.

Noteworthy
Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee appeared to injure himself in the pre-game warmups was able to play, kicking a 22-yard field goal. Rookie punter Adam Podlesh took care of the kickoff duties.
