Titans' stingy secondary: The success of Tennessee's top-ranked defense is largely due to its defensive backfield. Led by CB Cortland Finnegan and safety Michael Griffin (four interceptions apiece), the Titans rank first in the AFC with 10 interceptions. That spells trouble for Kansas City's 32nd-ranked passing offense, which has thrown twice as many interceptions (eight) as it has touchdowns (four).
Tennessee's 1-2 punch: Things don't get any easier for Kansas City's last-ranked run defense. Tennessee's combination of LenDale White and rookie Chris Johnson has given the Titans the edge they have been missing in recent years. Johnson leads the team with 381 rushing yards, while White has been a vulture in the red zone, scoring at least one touchdown in four of his last five games.
Croyle's comeback: After having rotated through the likes of Damon Huard, Tyler Thigpen and Marques Hagans, Brodie Croyle is scheduled to start Sunday after missing the last four games with a separated shoulder. Croyle set career highs in completions (25), passing yards (217) and touchdowns (two) in his last meeting with Tennessee.
